The Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) Uganda 2024, organized under the auspices of YOUNGO, the official youth constituency of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), is set to take place on September 19-20, 2024. Themed “Unlocking the power of youth to tackle climate change in Uganda,” the event aims to provide a platform for young changemakers, policymakers, and key stakeholders to collaboratively address the nation’s pressing environmental challenges.

The conference will dive deep into critical thematic areas, including Mitigation, Adaptation, Energy and Just Transition, Agriculture and Food Systems, Health, Gender Equity and Inclusion, Nature and Biodiversity, Climate Mobility and Migration, and Urbanization, Sustainability, and the Built Environment.
