The inaugural African Climate Change Adaptation Conference, organized by the Agape Earth Coalition, is set to take place on October 7-8, 2024, in Kampala, Uganda. This landmark event aims to serve as a platform for sharing knowledge, forging partnerships, and catalyzing action towards climate resilience across the African continent.
The two-day conference will bring together a diverse array of stakeholders, including development practitioners, environmentalists, civil society organizations, the private sector, academia, indigenous groups, women, policymakers, experts, and media representatives. Discussions will focus on addressing the unique impacts of climate change in Africa, strategizing effective adaptation measures, and demonstrating workable solutions.
Themed “Actionable Knowledge for a Climate Resilient Africa,” the conference will feature inspiring keynotes from top experts, informative panel conversations, cutting-edge workshops, and the showcasing of innovative climate adaptation initiatives. Organizers are encouraging organizations and stakeholder delegates from outside Uganda to participate in the event by filling out the registration form or nominating up to five representatives to attend.
