The event was officiated by Eng. Joseph Oriono Eyatu, the Commissioner of the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Department, representing the Permanent Secretary Alfred Okot Okidi. The project is implemented by the Ministry of Water and Environment’s Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Department, with funding provided by the India Exim Bank.

The new water supply scheme is expected to provide clean and safe water to a population of 25,000 people in the region. The use of solar power for the water pumping and distribution system ensures a sustainable and environmentally-friendly solution for the community.
