The Kasese District Local Government, with support from Danish Embassy to Uganda and Reproductive Health Uganda, has officially launched its Climate Change Action Plan, with the ceremony officiated by H.E. Adam Sparre Spliid, Deputy Ambassador of the Royal Danish Embassy in Uganda.

During the event, the Ambassador emphasized the significance of this initiative, stating, “This is something the district and community around the Rwenzori Region should be proud of. The next milestone is the implementation phase!”

The newly developed Action Plan aims to tackle the pressing challenges posed by climate change while recognizing the strong links to sexual and reproductive health.

With this launch, Kasese District sets a proactive agenda to foster resilience and adaptability in the face of climate-related issues, ensuring that the needs of its most affected communities are prioritized. The focus now shifts to the effective implementation of the plan, aiming for tangible improvements in both environmental sustainability and public health.
