The Vice President Jessica Alupo and FAO Representative Antonio Querido commissioned a community-based poultry breeding centre and water production facilities in Katakwi District. The aim is to multiply improved poultry breeds, boost production, and enhance food security in the region.

FAO Commissions Solar Micro-Irrigation System in Amolatar District

The FAO Representative Antonio Querido commissioned a micro-irrigation system for the Aleble Farmer Field School in Amolatar district. The solar-powered system is intended to serve as a model for smallholder farmers in the community, covering 20 acres of land, with the potential to reach more farmland using mobile hoses.
