The Uganda Society of Architects (USA) hosted its highly anticipated Construction Symposium 2024, bringing together a powerhouse of industry leaders to explore “The Business of Construction in Uganda.”
The symposium delved deep into critical topics, including compliance in construction as well as discussions on sustainability and innovative construction technologies.

Attendees were captivated by a keynote address from Eng. Kenneth Kaijuka, CEO of the National Housing and Construction Company Ltd, who shared his insights on bridging gaps in the industry, focusing on addressing the country’s urgent need for accessible and sustainable homes.
Additionally, various organizations at the forefront of innovation in the construction space shared their pioneering solutions, leveraging technology and financial instruments to tackle the industry’s most pressing challenges.
The Construction Symposium emerged as a transformative platform, igniting conversations and fostering collaborations that promise to shape the future of Uganda’s construction landscape, driving it towards a more sustainable, innovative, and inclusive future.
